Rumah Amal Salman (RAS) generously donated IDR600.000.000,- for scholarship fund through BPDUL (07/07/2023). This donation confirms their commitment, as symbolically stated during the Alumni Home Coming event on June 10, 2023 by esteemed individuals such as Chair of the ITB Alumni, Chair of YPM Salman, Director of BPUDL, ITB’s Secretary Institute and Representative of Rumah Amal Salman.
YPM Salman and RAS, in collaboration with BPUDL, have been running a routine donation program since 2021. The program aims to support ITB students by providing various benefits, including scholarship for tuition and living expenses. The program has been successful in providing support to 90 ITB students so far.
The internal distribution of the donations within ITB is carried out through coordination between BPUDL, the Directorate of Student Affairs, and the Directorate of Finance. This coordination ensures that the distribution process aligns with the terms and conditions agreed upon between ITB and YPM Salman/RAS, the entities responsible for the donations.
Donation was collected through ”Zakat Alumni untuk Luluskan Anak Gajah”, a remarkable initiative to encourage ITB alumni to contribute their zakat, which is a form of Islamic charity. By collecting zakat from alumni, the program creates a sustainable source of funding specifically designated for supporting ITB students. This approach acknowledges the importance of education and the financial challenges that students may face during their academic journey.
Such program demonstrates the power of collective efforts and the impact that alumni support can have on the lives and futures of students, which can also contribute significantly to the development and progress of the institution. They enable deserving students to access educational opportunities and pursue their studies without financial constraints.
