Five-Year Evaluation of BPUDL: Synergy for the Future of ITB’s Business and Endowment Fund

The ITB Agency for Business and Endowment Fund Management (BPUDL) held a meeting with its advisory board and investment advisors at ITB Jakarta Campus (03/02/2025). This gatherig served as both networking event and a performance evaluation forum for BPUDL’s 2020–2025 period, as well as a discussion platform for the future management of ITB’s business units and endowment fund.

The Director of BPUDL, Deddy P. Koesrindartoto, presented several achievements over the past five years, including the growth of the endowment fund, the strengthening of an innovative business ecosystem, the expansion of business units, and the broadening of networks with strategic partners.

The event was attended by the ITB Rector, the Chairman of the ITB Board of Trustees (MWA) for the 2019–2024 period, as well as advisory board members and investment advisors. In his remarks, ITB Rector, Tatacipta Dirgantara expressed appreciation to the advisors for their support of BPUDL’s performance. He emphasized that the management of the endowment fund and business units should further strengthen ITB’s financial independence, particularly amid declining government funding, which now accounts for only 26% of ITB’s annual budget. He added, “ITB has many friends, networks, and a strong alumni base. If we work together, ITB will continue to grow and develop”.

Rinaldi Firmansyah, representing the advisory board, highlighted the importance of professional human resources (HR) in ensuring the effective management of endowment funds and business units. Meanwhile, Yani Panigoro, Chairperson of the ITB Board of Trustees for 2019–2024, underscored the role of alumni synergy in supporting ITB’s sustainability. “This is a tangible form of giving back to our alma mater. Never grow tired of loving ITB,” she stated.

Similarly, Achmad Zaky, representing the investment advisors, reaffirmed the strong commitment of ITB alumni in supporting the institution. He proposed  organizing more programs and activities in Jakarta to enable alumni to contribute more actively.

The event concluded with an appreciation speech and farewell remarks from the BPUDL Director for the 2020–2025 period, Deddy P. Koesrindartoto, who expressed gratitude for the collaboration  and support of all parties in advancing the management of ITB’s business units and endowment fund
